0.6 · The grand tour: your 4 tools

What you will be able to do
Know what each of the four tools is for, what each one costs, and what you are going to learn to do in the rest of the handbook.

In 2 minutes

You now know the basics of talking to an AI, and that is the only thing that really counts: the three rules from the previous chapter work with all four tools, without exception.

So here is what the handbook teaches you to master, what each tool brings you, and at what point the question of budget comes up.

A word on how they fit together, because this is often misunderstood: Claude is at the centre, the other three are workshops. Claude steers Higgsfield remotely. Claude Design and Claude Code open from your Claude account, but they depend neither on each other nor on Higgsfield. What links them is you, and the same skill: putting your request well. Part V makes them work together.

Your turn

Go back to the sentence you wrote in chapter 0.1, what you would like to achieve thanks to AI. Guess which of these four tools will help you most, and note your bet right next to it.

We will check it as we go. Being half wrong is not unusual, and that is exactly what makes the bet interesting.

You have got it if…
  • You have written a tool name next to your sentence from 0.1.
  • You can say in one sentence what each of the four does, without rereading the table.
  • You know which of the four asks for money straight away, and which does not.
Traps to avoid
  • Wanting to master everything at once. You take one tool at a time, in order. The handbook is built for that.
  • Neglecting Claude because you think the impressive part is elsewhere. Claude is the foundation of everything else: it is Claude that steers the others. Time spent learning to talk to it well is the best invested in this handbook.
  • Opening all four accounts tonight. Higgsfield opens at the start of Part II, Claude Code is installed in Part IV. Each thing in its own chapter.
What to remember
  • Four tools, four verbs: writing, creating, designing, building.
  • Claude is at the centre and steers Higgsfield; Design and Code are two independent workshops.
  • You learn them one by one, then combine them in the workshop of Part V.
Flying solo

Before moving on to Part I, tick what you can do without looking at the handbook.

Say how much this path is going to cost me per month, in figures.
Create an account and find the message box, even if the screen looks unfamiliar.
Ask a question and follow up on it without repeating the subject.
Rewrite a vague request saying who it is for, what it is for, how long it should be.
Name three things I will never paste into a conversation.
Get myself unstuck by describing my situation to Claude.

Six boxes ticked? Part I is waiting for you. One box that will not tick? Go back over the chapter concerned, now is the moment, not ten pages from now.

And if what is stuck is a button you cannot find rather than an idea you have not grasped, it is not you: put the question to Claude, that is exactly what it is for.
